When we were doing prep for the trip, I thought about bringing one of my swords, for protection of course. My personal favorite is my two-handed Lord of the Rings replica, Anduril, which is Aragorns sword in the films. Obviously space is limited on the bikes and only things that are absolutely necessary could come with us, so I sadly looked upon my sword one last time before leaving for the trip.
During one of our stops Marco pointed out some fairly impressive wooden swords to me and I immediately purchased one (it was surprisingly only $12). Strong wood, good grip and great length.
As I left the gift shop, I felt victorious. Up until this point I didn’t feel ready to tackle this epic journey without some sort of weapon to keep my mates & I safe. With my sword & steed at the ready, I’m prepared to face anything that lies ahead of us!
Now all I need is a holster for this thing!
